SmartGuard - children protective boxes

SmartGuard is a line of safety products. It includes plastic storage boxes with a sophisticated lock mechanism, which children cannot open, yet adults may open with one hand. The boxes are used for storing medicines (in the refrigerator or bathroom closet) and detergents (under the sink or in a garage).

SmartGuard is the first line of products in the NetworkProduct program. The project was done for Guy Palstic, and was lead by Garry Favel and Rafi Lederman from ZOOZ. The boxes were developed with the help of 'Beterem', the national center for children's safety and and health. The new product line was successfully launched during 2003, a year after the project began. It is currently sold in retail chains in Israel, Europe and the USA.

The goals of NetworkProduct program is to turn Israeli subcontractors (such as Guy Plastic) into foreign retail chains exporters, in millions of dollars each year.
